What is Zerion?

Zerion is a smart Web3 wallet that started as one of the best DeFi portfolio trackers and evolved into a full-featured wallet. Founded by Evgeny Yurtaev and Vadim Koleoshkin, it's designed for users who want to understand their on-chain portfolio — not just hold crypto.

The standout feature is portfolio tracking that actually works. Zerion doesn't just show token balances — it tracks your DeFi positions across protocols: liquidity pools on Uniswap, lending positions on Aave, staking on Lido, yield farming returns, and more. Everything is displayed across 15+ chains in one unified view.

Transaction history in Zerion is decoded into human-readable language. Instead of cryptic hex data, you see: "Swapped 1 ETH for 3,200 USDC on Uniswap" or "Supplied 5,000 USDC to Aave." This makes it easy to understand what you've done on-chain and track your activity over time.

The NFT gallery is one of the best in any wallet — your NFTs are displayed in a beautiful, gallery-style layout rather than a simple list. You can browse your collection across chains and manage everything in one place.

Good to know: Zerion is EVM-only — no Bitcoin, Solana, or non-EVM chains. Some advanced features require a Zerion Premium subscription. It's not fully open-source and only supports Ledger for hardware wallets (no Trezor). Zerion is best for DeFi-active users on Ethereum and L2s who want a clear, beautiful view of their portfolio and activity.

Our Verdict

Zerion is the wallet for people who care about understanding their portfolio. No other wallet presents your DeFi positions, transaction history, and NFTs as beautifully and clearly. The human-readable transaction feed, cross-chain portfolio view, and DeFi position tracking are genuinely best-in-class. If you're active in DeFi on EVM chains and want to understand what you own and what you've done, Zerion is excellent. The limitations are clear: EVM-only, smaller ecosystem than MetaMask, and a premium tier for some features. But for portfolio-conscious DeFi users, it's the best wallet experience available.
